30 Fresh Light Pink Four O’Clock Seeds

* Video example of the large plant they become.

(Mirabilis jalapa) are bushy flowering perennial plants, a long-standing garden favorite often grown as an annual outside its hardiness range (zones 9 to 11).

This tuberous-rooted plant produces slightly pointed oval leaves on multi-branching stems.
The plant can be expected to bloom from mid-summer all the way until frost.

Four o’clock flowers bloom in the evening, usually between 4 and 6 o’clock.

Direct Seeding:

Well-drained soil of almost any quality and full sun provide for the healthiest growth, but four o'clocks can tolerate partial shade outdoors.

Sow the seeds 6 inches apart in all directions, and keep the soil moistened to 6 inches during germination.

Direct-sown seeds should sprout within one or two weeks in moist soil. After they emerge and grow in their second set of leaves, called the true leaves, thin the seedlings so they are 12 to 18 inches apart.

My seeds are from fourteen year old well established plants.
