There is usually 1-4 seeds in each berry.
It is a coniferous evergreen.
Juniperus virginiana
They grow in Full Sun in well draining soil.
In winter birds feed on the berries and deer feed on the foliage.
They can live up to 450 years.
They wood of the Eastern Cedar tree does not rot. It is used for cedar chest, fencing, moths and more.
This tree stays green all year long. Making it a wonderful landscaping tree.
It blooms in Late spring, Early summer and Mid summer.
It’s height can be 16 to 98 feet.
The press is about 26 feet.
The flowering size is about 1 inch and is yellowish green.
They are easy to grow and are peat and disease tolerant.

They are good to 0 degrees.
Soil : Sand, Clay, Loam, Chalky, Sandy loam, Acidic, Neutral and Alkaline
During the first few years you will want to keep the soil moist.
Plant in the Spring and Fall.
Harvest berries in the Fall.
To plant seeds :
Seeds need 30 days warm stratification then 90-120 days cold stratification.
When planting the seeds barely cover them with soil.
Soak the berries for 38 hours to remove the coating from the seeds before processing.
You will need to soak the seeds also before planting in peroxide for 15 mins to clean the seeds.
These trees make wonderful decorated Christmas trees in Landscaping as well.

I do not issue refunds. All Sales are Final. I will not issue a refund if seeds do not germinate as of date 3/12/2022. All seeds germination average has been tested. It is the buyer's responsibility to germinate seeds purchased.

How are Seeds Shipped ?
All very small seeds are processed using a normal stamp process for letters. Larger small seed orders will be shipped with a non-Machinable stamp. MULTI seed orders are shipped in a larger First-Class envelope with a printed USPS Etsy tracking label.
