They will be cut right before being boxed and shipped. (Bottom moist wrapped Priority Mail)
They will be no longer than 10 inches.
Average good rooting is 5-7 inches.
All my cuttings will be sterile for proper clean rooting.
* Semi- Hard Cuttings *
Dip the cut end in rooting hormone.
Stick the end down in organic potting soil.
Keep the soil moist !
It takes 6-7 weeks for the cutting to start to root.
Do Not put the rooting Plum Cutting in the SUN and WIND !
Keep it out of the Freezing Temps the first season.
Plum Trees are the easiest to root of all fruit trees.
It blooms many white fragrant flower clusters.
This plum is heat tolerant and requires little winter dormancy.
The Blooms will appear in February.
Fruiting begins in 2-4 years.
The Methley produces heavy, annual crops of juicy, sweet plums.
This plum tree is self fertile.
It is Hardy in Zones 5–9.
Mine are grown in full sun and are about 10 years old.
I bake with these plums, can preserved jellies, freeze whole plums in bags for holidays and much more.
Plant in a well-drained soil, loamy, mildly acidic to mildly acidic.
Produces ripe plums from May to June depending on your zone location.
Methley Plum Trees grow about 8-20 feet to 10-20 feet wide.
They can be pruned back to any shape you desire. Mine are thinned on the bottom and fullness in middle to top. The limbs will get very heavy from all the plums. I would advise trimming lower limbs.
